Blue Mounds Declares Snow Emergency

No Street Parking Allowed During Storm

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning for Dane County in effect from 7 p.m. today, January 10 until 6 a.m. Sunday, January 12.  Heavy Snow is expected to develop in our area later this evening and continue into the weekend, with the heaviest snowfall on Saturday evening. Total snow accumulations of 6” to 10” total by Sunday afternoon and we are expecting wind gusts as high as 40 mph. Conditions are expected to quickly deteriorate with substantial impacts to travel.  Heavy Snow will result in substantial impacts to the commute both Friday evening and Saturday evening.

To assist the Street Department in their plowing and cleanup efforts, the Village of Blue Mounds has declared a snow emergency that will go into effect at 10 p.m. on Saturday, January 11, until Sunday, January 12 at 10 a.m.

When a snow emergency has been declared, no street parking is allowed.

Residents who have no off-street parking available are encouraged to find alternate parking.  The Village of Blue Mounds will issue citations and or tow vehicles if deemed necessary.

Citizens are encouraged to monitor the Village of Blue Mounds website for updates.
