Thomas Joseph Brunner

VERONA – Thomas Joseph Brunner, age 78, passed away on Wednesday, December 9, 2020.  He was born on December 13, 1941 to Fred and Myla (Zepplin) Brunner and grew up in the Pine Bluff area.  He graduated from Mt. Horeb High School in 1960.

On August 7, 1965, he married Rosemary Marotz. He served in the U.S. Army with the 826th Ordnance Company in Vietnam.  Tom made his living as a welder and fabricator.  Together with his brothers, they formed Brunner Bros. Welding.  Tom retired from the Ellis Manufacturing Company, where he headed the Research and Development Department.  He also was a long-standing member of the Verona FFA Alumni.  He was nationally known for the scale models of farm equipment that he created.

He is survived by his wife Rosemary (Marotz); his three sons, Mark (Vicki), Paul (Jodi) and Jon; his three grandchildren, James, Michael and Heidi; his brother Dean; and many nieces and nephews.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers Robert, William and Daniel.

A celebration of his life will be determined at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, please donate to your favorite charity in remembrance of Tom to carry on his legacy.
