In the case of the Mount Horeb prep softball team, the Vikings displayed plenty of both in sweeping four games last week with postseason play just around the corner.

Mount Horeb’s boys golf team has gotten better and better throughout the spring. And the Vikings reached new heights last Friday.

Mount Horeb’s baseball team split a pair of games last week.
Sauk Prairie defeated the Vikings, 4-1, on May 9. Mount Horeb then rolled past Baraboo, 10-0, last Friday.
The Vikings are now 9-10 overall and 6-7 in the Badger West Conference.

Mount Horeb’s boys and girls track teams both finished in fourth place at the Oregon Invite on May 12.
Platteville won the girls’ meet with 105 points, while Oregon (103), Baraboo (90.5), Mount Horeb (89) and Stoughton (77) rounded out the top five.

The Vikings fell to Reedsburg, 8-7, on May 2. Mount Horeb split a doubleheader with Madison Edgewood last Friday, then defeated Portage, 8-7, last Saturday.

Mount Horeb’s girls soccer team rediscovered its winning ways last week.
The Vikings fell to Stoughton, 4-1, on May 1. But Mount Horeb rebounded with a 9-0 win over Monroe on May 2 and an 8-0 victory over Baraboo on May 5.
The Vikings are now 5-5 overall and 4-4 in the Badger West Conference.
